The Let’s Talk Story

A Love of Conversation Turned Into Something Bigger

We doubt you could find another person who loves talking to people more than Nancy Mura, our Founder and CCO (Chief Creative Officer). Nancy loves talking to people so much that she took her conversations to the stage and was a successful standup comic for 17 years.

It’s no surprise, then, that Nancy would someday found Let’s Talk Private Practice, Inc., (LTPP) where she could do what she loves, talking to and helping others, with the people she loves—pediatric private practice owners.

It’s no surprise, then, that Nancy would someday found Let’s Talk Private Practice, Inc., (LTPP) where she could do what she loves—talking to and helping others—with the people she loves—pediatric private practice owners.

Private Practice Success

Thirteen years ago, Nancy pivoted from the world of serial entrepreneur to the world of private practice when she joined a management consulting firm. Not long after, she stepped in as marketing manager for a struggling physical therapy clinic where she increased the practice’s referrals fivefold.

That’s when she really fell in love with private practice—especially pediatric private practice. As Nancy puts it, “Private practice is its own animal and pediatric private practice is its own species.” She saw firsthand that these owners were some of the most noble yet under-supported people around. That experience eventually led her to create Peds-A-Palooza™ Community & Conferences, which grew into a thriving community of pediatric private practice owners who truly have each other’s backs.

The Shifting Landscape of Private Practice

In her eight years at Peds-A-Palooza, Nancy made a point of just listening to Pediatric Private Practice Owners so she could better understand what they were up against, what kept them up at night, and what kinds of resources and support would truly make a difference. A self-proclaimed “Resource Queen,” she poured everything she had into providing practice owners with tools, connections, and real-world support.

As the landscape kept shifting—advocacy needs, nonstop curveballs, shrinking reimbursements—Nancy kept having the same thought: If I ever got the chance to build something from the ground up, here’s exactly how I’d do it. Then she realized… that chance had arrived.

Helping Pediatric Practices Reach More Families

Now Nancy and her incredible team are building LTPP just as she has envisioned it: warm, real, and completely dialed in to what private practice owners need right now. She loves how many owners instantly get it, because they started their businesses for the same reason she started hers: to build something that speaks to their values, takes care of their people, and keeps them showing up for kiddos and families without burning out.

Nancy describes her job as helping practice owners connect their beautiful pediatric hearts with their business CEO brains.
